Fingolimod (INN, trade name Gilenya, Novartis) is an immunomodulating drug, mostly used for treating multiple sclerosis (MS). Fingolimod is a sphingosine-1-phosphate receptor modulator, which sequesters lymphocytes in lymph nodes, preventing them from contributing to an autoimmune reaction.

A patient mentioned, "Took Gilenya for 12 days and experienced several serious side effects and an onset of the disease it's meant to protect you from, MS. My symptoms included, dizziness, vertigo, balance issues, upset stomach, weakness and tiredness, heart palpation s and chest tightness, diarrhea, light sensitivity and headaches. When I stopped taking Gilenya these symptoms left after a couple of days but was left with really bad MS symptoms. I was healthy before I started this med and only took it because I'm always encouraged by health care workers to take meds to keep healthy. I'm back to a good diet, exercise and healthy supplements and NO MEDS!"

Project Manager (Current Employee) says

"The company is in a bit of disarray due to the latest Lash Group PMO and EIT PMO restructuring. There seems to be ambiguity with what the Lash Group PMO job functions will be since, the split with EIT that only manages IT projects. Lash PMO Management team may experience impact around what value project managers will provide under the Lash Group umbrella. Cons: Poor leadership, no process improvement(s), & no work life balance"

Site Coordinator (Current Employee) says

"Management teams are not consistent with procedures/polices. When opportunities come available for higher positions they tend to promote from outside."

Benefit Verification Specialist (Former Employee) says

"I worked for Lashgroup for a little over 3 years and the last year was very stressful. I took a promotion and accepted another position on another team and did not receive the proper training that was required. Needless to say I was fired for productivity, after continuous meetings with management no one wanted to help me become successful in my role. Employees/Mgmt very petty, concerned with everything but the business. I'm glad to have moved on and I haven't missed a beat found another job quickly paying the same less than a month of termination. Cons: Management doesn't take responsibility, pettiness within the whole company"

Reimbursement Case Advocate/ Gilenya Go Program (Former Employee) says

"Best part of job:"

Paralegal (Current Employee) says

"Small company without advancement. No company website. Cons: No Advancement"

Benefits Specialist (Former Employee) says

"Not a good job so unfair n inconsiderate of their workers feelings and family. I wouldn't refer anyone there that has children with disabilities."

Reimbursement Counselor (Current Employee) says

"This is not the same Lash I wanted to work for so bad 5 plus years ago. They have fell away their core values and the direction of the company is not a good one and not the best. Cons: uneducated managers, do not use the talent they have in front of them. Cliches. High school environment"

Benefits Specialist (Former Employee) says

"It was a great job as a contractor but once hired as a full time employee the duties are way too complicated and unreachable. Each team does things differently and you are to learn your new position within 1 week and then you are on your on. After your 90 days if you are not a person that management likes then you will be fired instead of giving the option to go to a lessor paying position. Cons: Bad management"

Reimbursement Counselor (Current Employee) says

"Great company to work and retire. Company promotes remote work and flexible schedules. Lash group gives internal candidates the opportunity to start at an entry level position and move up to management."

Site Coordinator (Former Employee) says

"It was ok working for this company. You didn't have a set schedule after the blizzard started, and in order to keep overtime you had to work during your lunch break"

Reimbursement Counselor (Current Employee) says

"Lash Group is a decent place to work. It can, at times, become difficult to move up, the work load can, at times, be challenging, and the interaction from management can be very limited. Cons: Limited direction"

Reimbursement Case Advocate (Current Employee) says

"Average large company, has decent benefits. Opportunities to advance within the organization exist, have to be at the right place at the right time."

Telehealth Nurse Educator (Current Employee) says

"lot of turnover of nurses and management. Morale is very low among the staff but the financial incentives keep nurses working. this is a remote nurse position, which also keeps nurses working"

Reimbursement Counselor (Current Employee) says

"Outbound calls verifying pharmacy insurance benefits. Also updating changes in patient plus. A very quiet environment where you can work independently."

Reimbursement Consultant (Current Employee) says

"Busy M-F 8/4 completing several tasks, learned about different type's of medications available for patients. Oversaw and worked with 6 colleagues and nurses."

Case Manager/Reimbursment Counselor (Current Employee) says

"I like working here at Lash. People are very approachable. As a person that has worked for bigger companies. I feel the area Lash is lacking in to make the employees alot more successful is having TRAINERS. Trainers that specifically work on training in a training environment. They have no trainers. Management is in training trying to train when they havent done the job in years and some not at all. Cons: Management, No Training environment."

Reimbursement Counselor/Case Manager (Former Employee) says

"Not a bad place to work. Experience with the company varies based on the program you work for and the individual team manager. Worked for 2 different teams and had 2 positive experiences, but know others who weren't so lucky. Cons: experience varies based on team, not highest pay"
